FALSE: essentially all drug store 'color protecting' shampoos are a waste of your money and do nothing to protect your color. Salon formulas can be very expensive up front, but are much more concentrated (so you use less) and if you pay for a high quality color, you should pay more for a shampoo up front that will actually protect your color in the long run, saving you money.
