The Nebraska Cornhuskers football team represents the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The program has established itself as a traditional powerhouse over the course of its 125-year history. Among the 128 Division I-A teams, Nebraska is one of just ten football programs to win 800 or more games. Nebraska has more victories against Power Five opponents than any other program, as well as the fourth most victories all-time. Nebraska also has the most wins and the highest winning percentage of any program over the last 50 years.

Nebraska also has the most wins and the highest winning percentage of any program over the last 50 years.[5] ESPN ranks two undefeated Nebraska squads, the 1971 team and the 1995 team, among the top three teams in college football history.[6]
