California State University, Sacramento
Lori Perez will enter her third season as Sacramento State's head coach in 2016, and 12th year on the Hornets' coaching staff. On Aug. 14, 2013, Perez was named the program's interim head coach for the 2014 season, and eventually had the interim tag removed and was named the program's permanent head coach on June 26, 2014.

Idaho State University
Candi Lett's comes to Idaho State with 18 years of head coaching experience at the Division I level. Lett's most recently spent three years as the head coach at Farleigh Dickinson University. Letts also has head coaching experience at Colorado State, Ole Miss and Utah State. Letts compiled a 60-62 (.492) record over three seasons as the head coach at FDU. She led the softball program to its first two trips to the Northeast Conference Tournament (2014, 2015) and emerged as a perennial contender in the NEC. The Knights also earned eight All-NEC selections during that span, including two first team honors following the 2015 season.

Portland State University
Tobin Echo-Hawk has been coach since the 2008-'09 season and is just the third head softball coach at PSU since 1977. The team's record for her first two years is 59-33. They are 27-16 with three games left (as of 5/3/11) in the '10-'11 season. Prior to joining the Vikings staff she was the head coach at Broomfield High School in Colorado in 2006. She also spent three years coaching at her alma mater in Colorado, Centaurus High School, and guided the team to a record of 60-15 from 2000-02.

Southern Utah University
Southern Utah University women's softball enters its first season under the new head coach, Tom Gray, as the 10th head coach in Thunderbird softball history. Gray most recently appeared on the coaching staff at Oklahoma State, serving as an assistant coach from 2009-2014. In Stillwater, Gray helped the Cowgirls to three NCAA tournament appearances, including a spot in the 2011 Women's College World Series.

University of Montana
The 2016 season is Montana softball coach Jamie Pinkerton's second year leading the Grizzlies. Pinkerton, who has been a Division I coach since 1994, was hired in August 2013 to build the program. In its first season of competition, Montana, which had a roster of 15 true freshmen, surprised many by going 16-34 and winning eight Big Sky Conference games. The Grizzlies were in contention to make the league's postseason tournament entering the season's final weekend.

University of North Dakota
The North Dakota Fighting Hawks softball team is a part of the athletic program at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota. They are members of the NCAA Division I Big Sky Conference. The program only includes a women's team. The current Fighting Hawks softball head coach is Jordan Stevens.

University of Northern Colorado
Shana Easley starts her fourth year as Northern Colorado Softball's head coach after leading the Bears to its first ever Division I postseason appearance in 2014. Easley, the fourth Softball head coach since the program's reinstatement in 1999, lead a senior-driven team into 2015 while riding momentum off the Big Sky Championship appearance in 2014.

Weber State University
Mary Kay Amicone begin her third season at Weber State in 2015-16, after helping guide the Wildcats to their best winning percentage and most wins in Wildcat softball history in 2015. In two seasons at Weber State, Amicone is 60-44 overall, 17-16 in Big Sky play, and 3-2 in postseason action.
