Air Force
The Air Force Falcons football program represents the United States Air Force Academy in college football at the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division I-A) level. Air Force has been a member of the Mountain West Conference since its founding in 1999. The Falcons play their home games at Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Troy Calhoun has been the team's head coach since 2007.

The Broncos play their home games on campus at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, and their head coach is Bryan Harsin. The Fresno State Bulldogs football team represents California State University, Fresno in NCAA Division I FBS college football as a member of the Mountain West Conference. The green V on the Bulldogs' helmets, uniforms, field symbolize California Central Valley, specifically the San Joaquin Valley, the agricultural valley from which they draw their support. The current head coach is Tim DeRuyter, who was hired to replace Pat Hill on December 14, 2011.

New Mexico
The New Mexico Lobos football team is the intercollegiate football team at the University of New Mexico. The Lobos compete as a member of the Mountain West Conference. They have a cumulative record of 449-513-31. Their official colors are cherry and silver. The team is currently coached by Bob Davie. The Lobos play their home games at University Stadium.

San Diego State
The San Diego State football team represents San Diego State University in the sport of American football. The Aztecs compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and the West Division of the Mountain West Conference (MWC). They play their homes games at Qualcomm Stadium and are currently coached by Rocky Long. They have won nineteen conference championships and three national championships at the small college division. In July 2013, they were to become a football only member of the Big East Conference, but on January 17, 2013 the Mountain West's Board of Directors voted to reinstate San Diego State.

San Jose State
The San Jose State Spartans represent San José State University in NCAA Division I FBS college football. The Spartans play all home games in Spartan Stadium, which offers a seating capacity of just over 30,000. The current head coach is Ron Caragher. In Mike MacIntyre's third season as head coach, the 2012 San Jose State Spartans football team finished the season with an 11-2 win-loss record, a victory over Bowling Green in the 2012 Military Bowl, and its first post-season national ranking since 1990.

The UNLV Rebels football program is a college football team that represents the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (commonly known as "UNLV").The team is currently a member of the Mountain West Conference, which is a Division I Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division I-A) conference of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA).The program which began in 1968, is coached by former Bishop Gorman High School head coach, Tony Sanchez.
