The Ball State Cardinals baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, USA.[1] The team is a member of the Mid-American Conference West division, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. Ball State's first baseball team was fielded in 1920. The team plays its home games at Ball Diamond in Muncie, Indiana. The Cardinals are coached by Rich Maloney.

Ohio University
The Ohio baseball program has won 14 MAC regular season titles in 1947, 1948, 1953, 1954, 1956, 1960, 1964, 1965, 1968, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, and 1991. The team has also won a MAC tournament title in 1997, and has made a College World Series appearance in 1970. There have been a total of 23 Bobcats in the major leagues, and hundreds more in the minors. Most notably, hall of famer Mike Schmidt was a Bobcat, selected 30th in the 1971 Major League Baseball draft following his senior season.
