Xactika is a proprietary card game for two to ten players created by Set Enterprises in 2002. The trick-taking game is played with a dedicated deck of 81 cards, in which the object is to obtain the highest number of points after eight rounds of play. Points are awarded by taking the exact number of tricks that one bids before each round.

X610Z: existenz is Trading Card Board Game (TCBG), best described as a Trading Card Game with a game board. X610Z is a game in the fantasy and science fiction genres, based on a story about a fictive happening in the near future. Every 4-5 months a new set will be introduced. The release of the second set(ACT II: Spoils of War) is planned for the end of May 2010.

Wyatt Earp is a rummy-like card game first released in 2001. The game is named after Wyatt Earp, a famous lawman, and is set in the American Old West. It is manufactured by Rio Grande Games and was created by Mike Fitzgerald and Richard Borg for Alea.

Wings of War, by Andrea Angiolino and Pier Giorgio Paglia, is a modular boardgame collection published by Nexus Editrice and dedicated to air combat. A new edition is published by Ares Games as Wings of Glory.

Whot is a game played with a set of non-standard cards in five suits: circles, crosses, triangles, stars and squares. It is a shedding game similar to Crazy Eights. At one point, the game was manufactured by John Waddington Ltd.

Who's the Ass? is a trick-taking card game for 3-12 players. The game is played with a deck consisting of 104 cards numbered from 1-13 (8 cards of each rank), five jokers, and one Ass card. The Ass card is printed the same front and back, so all players know who has it in their hand.

Waterworks is a card game created by Parker Brothers in 1972. The game pieces consist of a deck of 110 pipe cards, 1 bathtub-shaped card tray, and 10 small metal wrenches. The object is for each player to create a pipeline of a designated length, beginning with a valve and ending with a spout. Players race to be the first to complete a continuous, leak-free pipeline that connects their valve card to their spout card.

Warhammer: Invasion is a Living Card Game (LCG) (variant of collectible card game) designed by Eric M. Lang and produced by Fantasy Flight Games in 2009, set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. Like Fantasy Flight's other LCGs, Invasion is sold as a core set, which can be played on its own, or built upon with expansion packs. Each pack has a fixed set of 3 copies each of 20 cards. There are six factions in Invasion: Dwarves, Empire, Orcs, Chaos, High Elves, and Dark Elves. The first four have decks in the core set, while the elves' decks are available in the Assault on Ulthuan expansion.

Warhammer 40,000: Conquest is a Living Card Game (LCG) produced by Fantasy Flight Games, set in Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe. It was announced in March 2014 and was released October 3, 2014.

Viewpoint is a card game played with a series of specially printed decks. The theme, including card title and image, of each card in the deck is based on an aspect or play on words related to vision, such as "Spectacles", "Eye Spy" or "Blind Freddie". The game was designed by Sean Carroll and its premiere edition was released by Australian game publishers 93 Made Games at the Gen Con Oz gaming convention in September 2009. The first Viewpoint expansion set, Viewpoint Reflections, expands on a storyline introduced in the Viewpoint Hustle animation, which is based on a group of characters, with eyes for heads, who travel to different dimensions by jumping through specially-programmed television sets.

The Very Clever Pipe Game is a card game produced by Cheapass Games. It can be played by 2-4 people, or more in teams. Like other pipe games, the objective can be to create a closed circuit in pipes of your color by playing cards from your hand. When you accomplish this, you pick up the cards. Whoever has the most cards at the end wins. However, what makes this game unique (and thus, according to the maker, Very Clever) is that you can also choose to close off fields of light or dark backgrounds. If you have four players, for instance, each has a different goal: light pipes, dark pipes, light backgrounds, or dark backgrounds. With so many competing goals, the game becomes quite complicated.

Vampire is a vampire-themed card game designed by Reiner Knizia. The goal is to meld sets of vampires from six different suits. The game ends when all cards have been drawn, or a player has melded vampires from all six suits, and the winner is the player with the most points.

Uta-garuta (歌ガルタ?) are a kind of karuta, Japanese traditional playing cards. It is also the name of the game in which they are used. The game is played mostly on Japanese New Year's holidays. On each card, a poem (waka) is written, and there are a total of 100 poems. The standard collection of the poems used is called Hyakunin Isshu, which is often also the name of the game. The collection was chosen by a poet Fujiwara no Teika in Heian period. There are national conventions for the game. Levels start at the lowest, Class E, and stop at the highest, Class A. Only Class A players are qualified to be a reader.

Up Front is a World War II card-based wargame. It was designed by Courtney F. Allen and published by Avalon Hill in 1983. Hasbro now owns the franchise, and at one time licensed it to Multi-Man Publishing, a license that has since expired without republication of the game. There was an attempt by Radiant Games to reprint Up Front through Kickstarter in 2013. The project raised over $300,000, but no updates to status has been posted since March 21, 2014.

Uno (/ˈuːnoʊ/; from Italian and Spanish for 'one') is an American card game that is played with a specially printed deck (see Mau Mau for an almost identical game played with normal playing cards). The game was originally developed in 1971 by Merle Robbins in Reading, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati. It has been a Mattel product since 1992. The game's general principles put it into the Crazy Eights family of card games.

Released in 2000 by Decipher Inc., Tribbles is a customizable card game designed around the fictional tribble creatures of the Star Trek television series. While this game is not playable with most cards from the Star Trek CCG, this pre-constructed game could be expanded by collecting the tribbles cards from The Troubles with Tribbles expansion of the Star Trek CCG.

Tarocchini (plural for tarocchino) are point trick-taking tarot card games originating from the 17th century. They are the diminutive form of tarocchi (plural for tarocco), referring to the reduction of the Bolognese pack from 78 to 62 cards, which probably occurred in the early 16th century.

Take the Train is a card game marketed by the U.S. Playing Card Company under its Bicycle Games sub-brand. The object of the game is to have the most train fares remaining at the end of the game; train fares are distributed evenly among players, and are lost when a player cannot play from their hand and for each card left when a player empties their hand.

Swipe it! Take what's yours... is a card game developed by American creator Earl Johnson III of Los Angeles, California, and was published on December 20, 2014 by EJ3Games, a gaming company also founded by Johnson. The game's name refers to the fact that players in the game are trying to "Swipe" or steal as many cards from each other as possible. It is recognized by Boardgamegeek as a "party and family" card game.

Survival of the Witless is a card game produced by Avalanche Press about tenure. Released in 1997, the game was created due to Avalanche Press founder Mike Bennighof's anger at being fired from his teaching job at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) for winning a teaching award as an untenured professor.

Star Wars: The Card Game is a Living Card Game (LCG) produced by Fantasy Flight Games. It is a two-player card game set in the Star Wars universe. It puts one player in command of the light side of the Force (with the affiliations Jedi, Rebel Alliance, and Smugglers And Spies making up the light side), and one player in command of the dark side of the Force (made up of Sith, Imperial Navy, and Scum And Villainy affiliations). The Balance of the Force expansion allows multi-player games. The game is set within the time-frame of the original Star Wars trilogy.

Star Fleet Battle Force is a card-based starship combat game system, produced and developed by Amarillo Design Bureau Inc. It allows fast-paced multiplayer combat between vessels of various factions in the Star Fleet Universe, such as the Federation, the Klingon and Romulan Empires, the Gorn Confederation, Kzinti Hegemony, Tholian Holdfast and Orion Pirates. The game is based on the races that appear in the original Star Trek television series.

Snout! is a variation on the classic dice game Pass the Pigs. Unlike the original, players earn points by discarding cards in their hand matching what was rolled and getting rid of all cards in their hand, rather than matching what they rolled to a point chart. It was published by Winning Moves Games USA in 2005 but is no longer in production.

SKIP-BO /skip-bo/ is a commercial version of the card game Spite and Malice. In 1967, Minnie Hazel "Skip" Bowman of Brownfield, Texas began producing a boxed edition of the game under the name Skip-bo. In 1980 the game was purchased by International Games, which was subsequently bought by Mattel in 1992. A mobile version of the game for iOS was released by Magmic in September, 2013.

Sixteen is a card game for 2 or 4 players, designed for players 8 and older, and published by Alpine Games. According to Major Fun, the game includes a good balance of strategy and luck, it is easy to learn, and takes approximately 15 minutes to play.

Set is a real-time card game designed by Marsha Falco in 1974 and published by Set Enterprises in 1991. The deck consists of 81 cards varying in four features: number (one, two, or three); symbol (diamond, squiggle, oval); shading (solid, striped, or open); and color (red, green, or purple). Each possible combination of features (e.g., a card with three striped green diamonds) appears precisely once in the deck.

Sentinels of the Multiverse is a designer card game published by Greater Than Games and released at Gen Con 2011. It is a cooperative game in which players control a team of comic book-style heroes battling a villain. Each player controls a different hero, while a villain and environment deck each run themselves. A given game includes 3 to 5 heroes, 1 villain and 1 environment, which can be mixed and matched to create a number of different scenarios. The core game comes with 10 heroes, 4 villains, and 4 environments.

As with the Catan Adventures series of games, the theme is based on the Rebecca Gablé novel The Settlers of Catan, a novel based on the original board game.

Renfield is a trick-taking card game produced by Cheapass Games. It is a social gambling game for four to seven players.

Rejection Therapy is a social self-help game created by Jason Comely where being rejected by another person or group is the sole winning condition. The player can attempt any kind of social rejection, or try a suggestion from one of the Rejection Therapy suggestion cards available. The game can be played for any length of time, although many undertake the 30 Day Challenge.

Reels & Deals: The Movie-Making Card Game is a card game, designed by Asha Agnish and Eric Kesselman, illustrated by Erica Missey, and published in 2008 by Agman Games.

Rat-a-Tat Cat is a memory game designed by Monty and Ann Stambler and published by Gamewright. It won a Mensa Select award in 1996. The Washington Post described it as "like poker for kids".

Rage is a trick-taking card game marketed by Fundex Games that is based on the game Oh Hell. Players bid to take a particular number of tricks, and are awarded bonus points for doing so. The commercial game differs significantly from the traditional version in the use of a proprietary deck with 6 colored suits and the addition of 6 types of special cards that change gameplay.

Rack-O is a Milton Bradley card game with the objective of obtaining 10 numbers, in numerical order, in one's hand. Score may be kept on a separate piece of paper, based upon either a custom system or the system provided in the rule book. Rack-O allows between 2-4 players, and is recommended for players age 8 and up. Rack-O was released in 1956 and is currently being produced by Winning Moves.

Race for the Galaxy (also abbreviated "RftG" or simply "Race") is a card game designed by Thomas Lehmann that was released in 2007 by Rio Grande Games. Its theme is to build galactic civilizations via game cards that represent worlds or technical and social developments. It accommodates 2-4 players by default although expansions allow for up to 6 players, as well as solo play. The game uses iconography in place of language in some places, with complex powers also having a text description. While appreciated by experienced players for being concise, some new players find the icons difficult to learn and decipher.

Quiddler is a proprietary card game and word game created by Set Enterprises. Players compete by spelling English words from cards in hands of increasing size, each card worth various points. The game combines aspects of Scrabble and gin rummy. The word "Quiddler" is a trademark.

Puzzle Strike: Bag of Chips (often shortened to Puzzle Strike) is a designer dedicated deck card game created by David Sirlin, inspired by Dominion and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. It features asymmetric gameplay, and uses specially printed chips in place of cards.

Projective Set (sometimes shortened to ProSet) is a real-time card game derived from the older game Set. The deck contains cards consisting of colored dots; some cards are laid out on the table and players attempt to find "Sets" among them. The word projective comes from the game's relation to Projective spaces over the finite field with two elements.

Pivot is a casual card game released by Wizards of the Coast in 1998. The game was designed by André François. Pivot, along with Alpha Blitz, Go Wild!, and Twitch, were part of a move by Wizards of the Coast to diversify beyond their core Magic: The Gathering property. This game is no longer in print.

Pit is a fast-paced card game for three to seven players, designed to simulate open outcry bidding for commodities. The game was developed for Parker Brothers and first sold in 1904. It is currently being produced by Winning Moves. This popular version of the game was developed by Edgar Cayce, who would also become famous for his psychic predictions.

Phase 10 is a card game created in 1982 by Kenneth Johnson and sold by Mattel, which purchased the rights from Fundex Games in 2010. Phase 10 is based on a variant of rummy known as Liverpool Rummy, and is a member (along with Liverpool) of the contract rummy family. It requires a special deck or two regular decks of cards; it can be played by two to six people. The game is named after ten phases (or melds) that a player must advance through in order to win. Phase 10 was Fundex's best selling product, selling over 32,600,000 units to date, making it the 2nd best-selling commercial card game behind Mattel's Uno. In December 2010, Fundex sold the rights to Phase 10 to Mattel, and now develops and markets a line of games based on brands and other IP formerly exclusive to Mattel as well as Fundex's own brands.

The Perfect Present is a party game about giving and receiving both realistic and imaginary gifts.

Pecking Order is a card game, where players try to claim the best feeding spots in the jungle by playing their birds on the perches and determining who is stronger. It was published by Winning Moves Games USA in 2006 as the first game in its now discontinued Immortal Eyes line.

Once Upon a Time is a card game produced by Atlas Games, originally released in 1994 with a second edition published in 1995 and the current third edition in 2012. One object of Once Upon a Time is to tell a fairy tale as a group. While the story is developed by the whole group, the competitive aspect of the game is that each player has an individual goal of using all of the "Storytelling" cards he or she has in hand, and finishing the story with their own special "Happy Ever After" card. Only one player at a time is the current storyteller, giving him or her a chance to play their Storytelling cards, while the other players have a chance to "interrupt" the story and become the storyteller if, for example, the storyteller mentions something on one of the interrupting player's cards.

O'NO 99 is a proprietary card game formerly produced by International Games, Inc. It is played with a unique deck of 54 cards. The object of the game is to play cards numbered 2-10, while avoiding being the player that brings the sum of played cards to 99 or higher. Similar to the game Uno, O'NO 99 has special cards such as Reverse, Hold, and Double Play cards that can alter gameplay.

Nuclear War is a card game designed by Douglas Malewicki, and originally published in 1965. It is currently (as of 2012) published by Flying Buffalo, and has inspired several expansions. It is a satirical simulation of an end-of-the-world scenario fought mostly with nuclear weapons.

No Thanks! is a card game for three to five players designed by Thorsten Gimmler. Originally called Geschenkt! (presented (as a gift) in German) and published by Amigo Spiele in 2004, it was translated into English by Z-Man Games.

Munchkin is a dedicated deck card game by Steve Jackson Games, written by Steve Jackson and illustrated by John Kovalic, that has a humorous take on role-playing games, based on the concept of munchkins (immature role-players, playing only to "win" by having the most powerful character possible). Munchkin won the 2001 Origins Award for Best Traditional Card Game, and is itself a spin-off from The Munchkin's Guide to Powergaming, a gaming humor book that also won an Origins Award in 2000.

Monopoly: The Card Game is a card game loosely based on the board game Monopoly. The idea of the game is to draw and trade cards and organize them into "color-groups" and any number of bonus cards. Players take turns drawing and discarding until one player announces that he/she has a completed hand. The value of each person's hand is then counted and that person is dealt that amount of Monopoly money. The first person to collect $10,000 is the winner.

Monopoly Deal is a card game derived from the board-game Monopoly, produced and sold by Parker Brothers under a license from Hasbro.

Modern Art is an auction game designed by Reiner Knizia and first published in 1992 by Hans im Glück in German. Players represent art dealers, both buying and selling works of art by five different fictional artists. At the end of each round, they sell the paintings they bought back to the "bank". More popular artists' works are worth more, and the value carries over into future rounds.

Minchiate is an early 16th century card game, originating in Florence, Italy. It is no longer widely played. Minchiate can also refer to the special deck of 97 playing cards used in the game. The deck is closely related to the tarot cards, but contains an expanded suit of trumps. The game was similar to but more complex than tarocchi.

Mille Bornes (/ˌmɪl ˈbɔrn/; French for a thousand milestones, referring to the stone distance markers on many French roads) is a French card game. Mille Bornes is listed in the GAMES Magazine Hall of Fame.

Maths24 is a competitive, arithmetical card game aimed predominantly at primary and high school pupils. Although it can be played informally, the game was organised and operated within Southern Africa in a series of interschool, geographically increasing tournaments. The game experienced its peak during the 1990s, and is now no longer produced or played in any official manner.

Mascarade is a 2013 card game by French game designer Bruno Faidutti.

Make-a-Million is a card game created by Parker Brothers. It was copyrighted in 1934 and released to the public in 1935. The game was first released in Salem, Massachusetts, and then to New York City, San Francisco, Chicago, and Atlanta.

Mage Wars is a fantasy tabletop wargame. Mage Wars was first developed in 2007 by Bryan Pope and was released in 2012 by game publisher Arcane Wonders.

Mag Blast is a spaceship-themed strategy card game, produced by gaming company Fantasy Flight Games. The first edition was set in the universe of "Twilight Imperium", a board game made by the same company. The game is playable for 2-8 players, and is described as "a game of screaming space battles" . The first edition was printed in 1998. A second edition was produced as well continuing the use of Twilight Imperium artwork. A Third Edition printed in 2006 moved away from the use of Twilight Imperium as the theme and instead uses artwork from comic artist John Kovalic. This change in artwork was highly criticised by old fans of the game.

The Mad Magazine Card Game was published by Parker Brothers in 1979 as a blend of Uno and Crazy Eights. All of the cards feature Alfred E. Neuman, the mascot of Mad magazine. The object is to be the first player to lose all cards.

Lunch Money is an elimination-style card game designed by C.E. Wiedman and released in 1996 by Atlas Games. In 1997, Lunch Money jointly won the Origins Award for Best Card Game of 1996 in a three-way tie with Legend of the Five Rings: Battle of Beiden Pass and Mythos.

Luck Plus is a card game played with a specially printed deck and a pair of dice.

Lotería is a game of chance, similar to bingo, but using images on a deck of cards instead of plain numbers on ping pong balls. Every image has a name and an assigned number, but the number is usually ignored. Each player has at least one tabla, a board with a randomly created 4 x 4 grid of pictures with their corresponding name and number. Players choose what tabla they want to play with, from a variety of previously created tablas. Each one presents a different selection of images.

Lost Cities is a 60-card card game, designed in 1999 by game designer Reiner Knizia and published by several publishers. The objective of the game is to mount profitable expeditions to one or more of the five lost cities (the Himalayas, the Brazilian Rain Forest, the Desert Sands, the Ancient Volcanos and Neptune's Realm). The game was originally intended as a 2-player game, but rule variants have been contributed by fans to allow 1 or 2 further players, causing Reiner Knizia himself to later provide semi-official 4-player rules.

The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game is produced by Fantasy Flight Games. It is a cooperative game set in the fantasy world of JRR Tolkien's books. The initial time-frame for the game is between The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring, although later Saga expansions have broadened this, allowing players to replay the events of Tolkien's novels.

Lord of the Fries is a card game created by James Ernest and published by Cheapass Games and Steve Jackson Games. In 2008 Steve Jackson Games released a new edition with revised game components. Lord of the Fries takes place at Friedey's: The Fast Food Restaurant of the Damned. Other games that take place there include Give Me the Brain and Change!.

Linq is a word-based card game from Endless Games, introduced at the American International Toy Fair in 2005.

Ligretto is a card game for two to twelve players. The aim of the game is to get rid of all your cards faster than all the other players by discarding them in the middle of the table. Instead of taking turns, all players play simultaneously. Play is fast and lively, and demands attention to the cards being played by others as well as one's own cards. It can be played and enjoyed equally by children from 8 years old to adult with youth being at no disadvantage.

Launch Pad is a family strategy card game for 2 to 4 players, ages 10 and up. It was designed by Melanie James and published by Stratus Games.

Krypto is a card game designed by Daniel Yovich in 1963 and published by Parker Brothers and MPH Games Co. It is a mathematical game that promotes proficiency with basic arithmetic operations. More detailed analysis of the game can raise more complex statistical questions.

Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot is a noncollectible card game created by Jeff Bellinger and graphic design/illustrations by Jonathan Young. Some early artwork for the game was also done by "Alex" Alexander, although credit for his contributions are not generally recognized. It is published by Playroom Entertainment.

Karuta (かるた?, from Portuguese carta ) are Japanese playing cards. Playing cards were introduced to Japan by the Portuguese traders during the mid-16th century. These early decks were used for trick-taking games. Karuta packs are divided into two groups, those that are descended from Portuguese cards and those from Eawase. Eawase was originally played with shells but were converted to card format during the early 17th-century.

Jeu Royal de la Guerre (Royal Game of War) is a French novelty card game for two to twelve players that was described in La Maison des Jeux Academiques in 1659. It is a trick-taking game played with a dedicated war-themed 40-card pack based on the French-suited 36-card piquet pack. The suits are irrelevant for gameplay, and to a large extent the game is determined by four suitless special cards.

Jasmine: The Battle for the Mid-Realm is a fantasy-themed card game, designed and introduced in 1982 by Jasmine Publications' founder Darlene Pekul. It was based on the Story of Jasmine illustrated adventure published in Dragon Magazine from issue #37 through #48.

It's Alive! is a light set collection and auction board game designed by Yehuda Berlinger published in 2007 by Reiver Games in English. A second edition, also by Reiver Games, with both English and German rules was published in 2008. Players assume the roles of mad scientists racing to create a monster from body parts and bring it to life.

Infinite Armies is a customizable card game for two players. It was created by Greg Porter, and published in 2005 by Blacksburg Tactical Research Center. It follows on the success of the collectible card game genre, but establishes its own niche by focusing more on card and deck customization. It breaks from the traditional collectible card games by allowing players to fully design and customize their own cards. Players do not even buy cards, but print their own. Whether this is a viable business concept is still being tested, as most card games rely heavily on sales of cards and the continued publication of new cards.

In a Pickle is a card and word game for two to six players. It was published by Gamewright in 2004. The game is sometimes incorrectly compared to the more popular game of Apples to Apples.

Illuminati is a standalone card game made by Steve Jackson Games (SJG), inspired by the 1975 book, The Illuminatus! Trilogy, by Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shea. The game has ominous secret societies competing with each other to control the world through sinister means, including legal, illegal, and even mystical. It was designed as a "tongue-in-cheek rather than serious" take on conspiracy theories. It contains groups named similarly to real world organizations, such as the Society for Creative Anachronism and the Semiconscious Liberation Army. It can be played by two to eight players. Depending on the number of players, a game can take between one and six hours.

Hofämterspiel (Court-office Game), one of the earliest card games on record preserved in its entirety with all forty-eight cards intact, is a major 15th-century medieval handmade deck commissioned by Ladislaus the Posthumous, king of Hungary and Bohemia and Duke of Austria from 1453 to 1457. It was found among the great collection of art treasures of Archduke Ferdinand of Tirol in castle Ambras, Austria, together with another called Ambraser Hofjagdspiel.

Hobbit Tales from the Green Dragon Inn is a card game set in Middle-earth. It was designed by Marco Maggi and Francesco Nepitello, designers of War of the Ring and Battle of Five Armies, and published by Cubicle 7 in January 2014.

Havok & Hijinks is a card game designed and published by Epic Slant Press LLC in 2014. In it, participants play a baby dragon searching to fortify their hoard, with the goal to be the first player to obtain 15 points worth of treasure. Designed to allow for fast matches, games generally last between 15 and 30 minutes and can be played by two to four players.

Happy Families is a traditional card game, usually with a specially made set of picture cards, featuring illustrations of fictional families of four, most often based on occupation types. The object of the game is to collect complete families. The player whose turn it is asks another player for a specific card from the same family as a card that the player already has. If the asked player has the card, he gives it to the requester and the requester can then ask any player for another card. If the asked player does not have the card, it becomes his turn and he asks another player for a specific card. Play continues in this way until no families are separated among different players. The player with the most cards wins. One of the rules states that a player cannot ask for a certain card to deceive any player if he does not have a card in the set he is asking for. The game can be adapted for use with an ordinary set of playing cards (see Go Fish).

Hanabi is a cooperative card game in which players, aware of other players' cards but not their own, attempt to play a series of cards in a specific order to set off a simulated fireworks show. Players are limited in the types of information they may give to other players, and in the total amount of information that can be given during the game. In 2013, Hanabi won the Spiel des Jahres, a prestigious industry award for best board game of the year.

Hacker is a card game (not a trading card game) made by Steve Jackson Games (SJG). Published in 1992, the players impersonate hackers fighting for the control of computer networks. It is based primarily on interlocking access to different computer systems in the web. Players are not set directly towards each other, and several players can share access to a system. It is superficially similar (modulo terminology) to the game Illuminati. Hacker is currently out of print.

Guillotine is a card game created by Wizards of the Coast and designed by Paul Peterson. The game is set during the French Revolution, and was released on Bastille Day in 1998. The goal is to collect the heads of Nobles, accumulating points. Despite the grim topic of the game, the artwork is comical and the tone light.

The Great Dalmuti is a card game designed by Richard Garfield, illustrated by Margaret Organ-Kean, and published in 1995 by Wizards of the Coast. It is a variant of the public domain game President, dating back to late Middle-Ages. The game was Awarded Best New Mind Game 1995 by Mensa, and was in Games Magazine's 1996 Games 100. The game fell out of print, but was re-released in 2005.

Grave Robbers from Outer Space (GROS) is a card game designed by Stephen Tassie and published out by Z-Man Games. GROS parodies movies and movie clichés, especially those from science fiction and horror movies. It is played with a specially designed 120 card deck.

Grass is a card game, first published in 1979 and now published by Euro Games and Ventura International (packaged in a hemp bag). The game is an expanded version of Mille Bornes with the theme altered from car racing to cannabis dealing, with many of the cards essentially the same.

Gother Than Thou: The Most Pretentious Card Game Ever Made is a card game that parodies the goth subculture. It was first published in 2000 by Savant Garde Entertainment. Gother Than Thou appeared on the 2001 Games magazine Games 100 list and was nominated for the "Best Graphic Presentation of a Card Game" category of the 2002 Origins Awards.

Gnav is a traditional game that is played with either cards or wooden pieces. Related games are Cuccù, Hexenspiel, Gnaio, Vogelspiel, Cambio (also Campio, Camphio, Camfio, or Kamfio), and Kille. The game can be played by 20 or more players, and a minimum of two.

Gloom is a tabletop card game created by designer Keith Baker and published by Atlas Games in 2004. It won the Origins Award for Best Traditional Card Game in 2005. Four expansion packs have been created since the release of the original game called, Unhappy Homes, Unwelcome Guests, Unquiet Dead and Unfortunate Expeditions. Additionally, In August 2011, Cthulhu Gloom, which serves as either a standalone game or a fourth expansion pack, was released, and one Cthulhu expansion pack has been released, called Unpleasant Dreams.

Give Me the Brain is a discard-style card game designed by James Ernest and released in 1996 by Cheapass Games. In the game, players assume the role of zombies attempting to complete their tasks for the day at Friedey's, "the fast food restaurant of the damned", yet they only have one brain to share between them. The game inspired several sequels, all set at Friedey's.

Girl Genius: The Works is a card game played with a specially designed deck of 108 cards. The game, designed by Phil Foglio and James Ernest, takes its theme from the "gaslamp fantasy" of the Girl Genius comic book series. The goal is to be the first player to reach 100 points by "popping" cards out of a two-dimensional layout.

Ganjifa, Ganjapa or Gânjaphâ, is a card game or type of playing cards that are most associated with Persia and India. After Ganjifa cards fell out of use in Iran during the twentieth century, India became the last country to produce them.

Ganjapa is a traditional card game from the Indian state Odisha. It is played with circular shaped Pattachitra painted cards. Originated in the 16th century, Ganjapa is a recreational game for male members of the Odia society, primarily villagers, kings and their courtmen. Ganjapa is played as "Charirangi" (cards of 4 colors), "Atharangi" (cards of 8 colors), "Dasarangi" (cards of 10 colors), "Bararangi" (cards of 12 colors), "Chaudarangi" (cards of 14 colors) and "Sohalarangi" (cards of 16 colors). The variation of this game influenced by Persian card game Ganjifa is known as "Mughal Ganjifa". The game is popular in Puri and Ganjam district of Odisha.

A Game of Thrones: The Card Game (or AGoT, for short) is a Living Card Game (LCG) (formerly a collectible card game) produced by Fantasy Flight Games. It is based on A Song of Ice and Fire, a series of novels written by George R. R. Martin. The first set, Westeros Edition, was released in 2002 and the game has since won two Origins Awards. The game's primary designer is Eric Lang, the lead developer is Nate French, with Damon Stone serving as associate designer.In the game, players assume the leadership of one of the great houses of Westeros vying for control of King's Landing and the Iron Throne. To accomplish this, players launch military attacks against their opponents, undermine their opponents' plans with intrigues of their own, and make power plays to win the support of the realm.

The Game of Life Card Game is a card game created by Rob Daviau and published by Hasbro in 2002. The object of the game is to collect as many points as possible before the letters for L.I.F.E. are drawn. The game begins with each player first deciding whether to pick a career right away or go to college and get a career afterwards. Each turn, players draw to fill their hands and then complete goals by playing cards from their hand. Goals are completed by paying their cost in money or time. Each turn, a player has as much money or time as their career (and other time/money altering cards) allow. Goals have an associated point value to them and the player or team that collects the most points at the end of the game wins.

Gambit is a strategy card game created by GB Company. It consists of character cards that are assigned "hit points" and a variety of equipment, attack and defense cards. The object of the game is to be the lone survivor by eliminating the hit points of your fellow opponents.

Free Parking is a Parker Brothers card game inspired by the "Free Parking" space of the Monopoly board game.

Fluxx is a card game, played with a specially designed deck published by Looney Labs. It is different from most other card games, in that the rules and the conditions for winning are altered throughout the game, via cards played by the players.

Express Monopoly is a card game released by Parker Brothers in 1993. The game consists of 42 playing card and a "game board".

Exploding Kittens is a card game designed by Elan Lee, Shane Small and Matthew Inman from the comics site The Oatmeal. Originally proposed as a Kickstarter project seeking US$10,000 in crowdfunding, it exceeded the goal in eight minutes and on January 27, 2015, seven days after opening, it passed 106,000 backers setting the record for most backers in Kickstarter history. At completion on February 19, 2015, it had $8,782,571 USD in pledges by 219,382 backers. The campaign ended as the fourth most funded campaign on the crowdfunding site. The first play test of Exploding Kittens was recorded on YouTube by Smosh Games, who had the first deck. The backers started receiving delivery in late July 2015; all backers are expected to receive the game by August or September 2015.

Dvorak is a customizable card game that begins with a deck of blank index cards. These index cards (or pieces of paper or cardboard) are written and drawn upon by players before or during the game. Alternatively, games of Dvorak can be played online via a MUSH or the Thoth card game engine.

Dutch Blitz is a fast-paced, family oriented, action card game played with a specially printed deck. The game was created by Werner Ernst George Muller, a German immigrant from Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The game is very popular among the Pennsylvania Amish and Dutch community, and among Christian groups in the United States and Canada (primarily in Dutch and German communities). The game is similar to Nertz, but Nertz is played with four standard playing decks, while Dutch Blitz must be played with specialized decks.

Dungeoneer is a non-collectible card game designed by Thomas Denmark and released by Atlas Games. Denmark is also credited for many of the illustrations of the cards.

Down With the King is a political card game for 2-6 players produced by Avalon Hill in 1981. Each player takes the role of a noble in the fictional nation of Fandonia during the European "Baroque age" (roughly 1600-1750), and by diplomacy, betrayal, and political maneuvering, attempts to depose the current monarch, and place his lackey on the throne.

Dominion is a deck-building game created by Donald X. Vaccarino and published by Rio Grande Games. Each player uses a separate deck of cards; players draw their hands from their own decks, not others'. Players use their cards to perform actions and buy cards from a common pool of card stacks, including Action, Treasure, and Victory cards. The player with the most victory points wins. The game has a light medieval theme, with card names that reference pre-industrial, monarchical, and feudal social structures.

Doctor Who: The Card Game is a card game based on the TV series of the same name. It was designed by Martin Wallace and published by Cubicle 7 in October 2012.

Cthulhu 500 is a motor racing-themed card game designed by Jeff Tidball based on H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. The game was released by Atlas Games at Gen Con 2004 and won the Origins Awards for Best Traditional Card Game of 2004 and Gamers' Choice 2004.

Crash! The Bankrupt Game is an Italian card game created in 2003 by Giacomo Sottocasa and published by Rose & Poison, a small publisher of RPGs. In this game the players, all multi-billionaires, must force all the adversaries to dissipate their properties and go bankrupt. Every player has property cards (e.g. a flat in Manhattan, off-shore Society, etc.) and event cards (cocktail party, tabloid scandal, Bear, Bull, Hostile IPO, etc.) to reduce properties (cards in hand and cards in play) of the other players and increase his own; the last standing player wins.

Coloretto is a card game designed by Michael Schacht, originally published in 2003. The game cards depict chameleons, showing that "a player may change his color many times during the game". Rules are provided in both English and French. The published game is designed for 3-5 players, but rules for a two player version of the game are available at the Rio Grande Games website.

Cluedo: The Card Game (or Clue: The Card Game in the U.S.) is a card game version of the classic board game Cluedo (Clue, in the U.S.). There have been two different games made with the same name. Despite the common name, the games play differently. One was published by Waddingtons in 1992, the other by Winning Moves Games USA in 2002 - however, it is no longer in production.

Civilization: The Card Game is a card game designed by Civilization IV lead designer Soren Johnson, based on Civilization IV. It was developed in 2006 by Firaxis Games, as a bonus in the Sid Meier's Civilization Chronicles boxed set (a collection of every Civilization series game up to that point), and is not available independently.

Citadels is a German-style card game, designed by Bruno Faidutti, originally published in French as Citadelles by MultiSim in 2000, illustrated by Julien Delval, Florence Magnin, Jean-Louis Mourier and Cyrille Daujean as graphic designer for the first edition. The game was designed by Andrew Looney in 2000 and is published by Looney Labs. In 2001, Chrononauts won the Origins Award for Best Traditional Card Game of 2000.

Chez Geek is a card game that parodies geek culture and cohabitation. It was created by Jon Darbro and developed by Alain H. Dawson, with additional development by Steve Jackson and Russell Godwin. The cards and rules were illustrated by John Kovalic.

The Catan Card Game, originally named The Settlers of Catan: The Card Game, is a card game adaptation of The Settlers of Catan. It is a member of the Catan series of games, and is published by Kosmos in German, and Mayfair Games in English. The Catan Card Game is a two-player game, although the rules can be accommodated as to allow players to share a set or for each player to have their own. Seven expansions of the Catan Card Game have been released.

The game is available as a free download that players can print to create their own cards, and also available to purchase in published hardcopy. Its development originated from a successful Kickstarter campaign and has received acclaim for its simple concept backed up by its satirical, mature content. The game is available under a Creative Commons license BY-NC-SA. Its title references the phrase "crimes against humanity", reflecting its politically incorrect content.

Car Wars: The Card Game is a card game version of Steve Jackson Games' Car Wars miniatures game. Players have a card in front of them to represent the car that they're using to battle other players. In turn, each player plays attack cards to try to do damage to the other players' cars, and the other players respond with armor and maneuver cards to avoid the damage. The object of the game is to make sure your car is the last one functional.

Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game (formerly the Call of Cthulhu Collectible Card Game) is a card game produced and marketed by Fantasy Flight Games. It is based on the fiction of the Cthulhu Mythos, primarily the writings of H. P. Lovecraft and Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu role-playing game. In 2008, Fantasy Flight moved the game over to its Living Card Game (LCG) format,[1] which retains the deck-building aspect of collectible card games, but without the random distribution.[2]It shares art and characters with FFG's other Cthulhu Mythos products Arkham Horror and Elder Sign.

Brawl is a real-time card game designed by James Ernest and released in 1999 by Cheapass Games. There is an iPhone and iPad version available on the Apple App Store.

Bohnanza is a German-style card game of trading and politics, designed by Uwe Rosenberg and released in 1997 by Amigo Spiele in German and by Rio Grande Games in English. It is played with a deck of cards with comical illustrations of eleven different types of beans (of varying scarcities), which the players are trying to plant and sell in order to raise money. The principal restriction is that players may only be farming two or three types of bean at once, but they obtain beans of all different types randomly from the deck, and so must engage in trading with the other players to be successful. The original game is for three to five players and takes about one hour to play, but the Rio Grande edition adds alternative rules to allow games for two or seven players.

Blue Moon, published by Kosmos/Fantasy Flight Games from 2004, is Reiner Knizia's most successful take on the collectible card game (CCG) genre. It is a card game for two players that bears some resemblance to the well-known Magic: The Gathering (by Richard Garfield), although the game mechanics are quite different. However Blue Moon is not a CCG; although each player has to use his own deck, there are no booster packs and, apart from a few promotional cards, all cards are sold in decks of fixed composition, so that there are no rare cards. In total, there are 344 different cards.

Before I Kill You, Mr. Bond was a card game designed by James Ernest and published by Cheapass Games. Players took the roles of supervillains in a spy movie, capturing superspies (including "Mr. Bond") and taunting them. Other players can foil the taunts by playing another taunt with a letter that corresponds to the first taunt. If this happens, the superspy escapes and destroys the fortress of the player attempting to kill him.

Beatdown is a box set for the card game Magic: The Gathering, and the fourth compilation set. It was created for special reprint purposes only and was not legal in Standard at the time of its release. Beatdown was released as a pair of preconstructed decks combined with accessories, unlike the normal distribution of Magic cards in randomized packs. At the time of release it sold for around $30.00 MSRP. Alternate art was done for four cards: Sengir Vampire, Erhnam Djinn, Ball Lightning, and Clockwork Beast. The set is white-bordered, and the expansion symbol is a mace. There are no White cards in the set.

Battle Cattle: The Card Game is a card game published by Steve Jackson Games. The game mechanics are based on the same system as Car Wars: The Card Game, so the two games are able to be combined, with some players playing cows and some players playing cars. The game concept is based on the Battle Cattle miniatures game published by Wingnut Games.

Baseball (or in some early editions, "Batter-Up Baseball") is a card game simulating the sport of baseball, played with special cards and a diagram of a baseball diamond. The game was created by Ed-u-Cards Manufacturing Corporation, New York.

Bang! is a Wild West-themed card game, designed by Emiliano Sciarra and released by Italian publisher daVinci Editrice in 2002. In 2004, Bang! won the Origins Award for Best Traditional Card Game of 2003 and Best Graphic Design of a Card Game or Expansion.

As-Nas ( آس ناس ) is a card game or type of playing cards that were used in Persia.

Army of Zero is a puzzle and two-player card game, published by Point Zero Games. Army of Zero is both a card game and an armchair treasure hunt, similar in concept to Masquerade and The Key To The Kingdom. A cash prize was on offer to the person who could provide the best solution to the puzzle. Army of Zero was launched at Toy Fair 2009, held at ExCeL London in January 2009.

Armchair cricket is a card game that is inspired by the bat and ball sport cricket. It is played by either two or four people. Depending on the version of the game being played, a game can last a few minutes to several hours. It was produced commercially in England but is no longer made (although unused sets are still available for sale by private and specialist traders).

Aquarius is a card game created by Andrew Looney and published by Looney Labs. The game play has some similarity to the game of dominoes. The card design and feel of the game is influenced by the Hippie movement and the art of Peter Max. The game has been released in two editions. The First Edition deck contained 5 Goal cards, 15 Action cards and 40 Element cards. The current Second Edition deck has 5 Goal cards, 18 Action cards, 55 Element cards and 1 "Wild" card.

Apples to Apples is a party game originally published by Out of the Box Publishing, and now published by Mattel. The object of the game is to win the most rounds by playing a "red apple" card (which generally features a noun) from one's hand to best "match" that round's communal "green apple" card (which contains an adjective) as chosen by that round's judging player. The game is designed for four to ten players and played for 30–75 minutes.

The Ambraser Hofjagdspiel (Court Hunting Pack of Ambras), also called the "Ambras falconer cards", is a pack of cards painted around 1440–1445 and attributed to the engraver Konrad Witz from Basle, Switzerland. It originally consisted of fifty-six cards from which only 54 survive, all distributed in four suits, falcons, lures, hounds and herons, symbols related to hunting. Each suit contained ten pip cards with the 10s being represented by a banner like many old German playing cards and modern Swiss playing cards. There are four face cards per suit: the Unter, Ober, Queen, and King. It was found in a collection at the Ambras Castle, in Innsbruck, Austria, in the sixteenth century, and now figures as a precious item in the collection of cards of the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.

Aluette is a plain trick-taking card game played usually by four people divided into two teams. It is played in rural and coastal areas in France between the Gironde and Loire estuary, that is to say, in the western part of the area of influence of Saintonge and Poitou dialect. It is wrongly presented as a folk and specific game in the Vendée department. It seems still practiced in the south-western part of the Loire-Atlantique called Retz. It is also practiced at family gatherings, at St Nazaire, city where we also played in cafes around 1960. At that time, there still were playing around the Brière and Guerande peninsula. It was much played in the ports of the Cotentin, where this game has disappeared.

Alpha Blitz is a word game designed by Mike Selinker and published by Wizards of the Coast. Alpha Blitz is based on the concept of a letter bank, as players make words using the letter cards on the table as many times as they like (e.g., LENS can become SENSELESSNESS). The game contains 98 letter cards and 10 "blitzes" (lightning bolt cards) that destroy letters and bring the game toward conclusion.

7 Wonders is a board game created by Antoine Bauza in 2010 and originally published by Repos Production in Belgium. 7 Wonders is a card drafting game that is played using three decks of cards featuring depictions of ancient civilizations, military conflicts and commercial activity. The game is highly regarded, being one of the highest rated games on the board game discussion website BoardGameGeek. 7 Wonders has won a total of more than 30 gaming awards, including the inaugural Kennerspiel des Jahres award in 2011.

6 Nimmt! / Take 5! is a counting card game designed by Wolfgang Kramer in 1994 and published by Amigo Spiele. The French version is distributed by Gigamic. This game allows 2–10 players who start with ten randomly numbered cards. These are played in simultaneous turns onto four card stacks with the goal of limiting the number of points (in the form of Bulls' Heads distributed among the cards) you're forced to take. Each player attempts to play their cards without laying their 6th card on a stack, as this results in a penalty of collecting all cards in the stack. Each card indicates penalty points with the number of bull heads on top of the card. After any player reaches 66 points the player with the least penalty points wins.

1000 Blank White Cards is a party game played with cards in which the deck is created as part of the game. Though it has been played by adults in organized groups worldwide, 1000 Blank White Cards is also described as well-suited for children in Hoyle's Rules of Games. Since any game rules are contained on the cards (rather than existing as all-encompassing rules or in a rule book), 1000 Blank White Cards can be considered a sort of nomic. It can be played by any number of players and provides the opportunity for card creation and gameplay outside the scope of a single sitting. Creating new cards during the game, dealing with previous cards' effects, is allowed, and rule modification is encouraged as an integral part of gameplay.

Dedicated deck card games are card games with decks that are specific to that game, rather than using standard playing cards. By the early nineteenth century, educational games were being created, such as "The Historical Game of Grecian History", created by John Wallis. Today's collectible card games are played with dedicated decks.
