YMCK is a Japanese chiptune band, composed of Midori Kurihara (vocals), Takeshi Yokemura (music, lyrics, arrangement), and Tomoyuki Nakamura (composition, music video).

Yelle are a French band founded by lead singer and namesake Yelle (Julie Budet) and GrandMarnier (Jean-François Perrier). A third member, Tepr (Tanguy Destable), joined the band before the recording of their debut album. Yelle and GrandMarnier began working on music together in 2000. The band came to prominence when it posted an early version of the song "Je veux te voir" on Myspace in September 2005, which later reached the top five in France. The success of the song on Myspace attracted the attention of a record label, which set them to work on their debut album, Pop Up, which was released in 2007. XP8 was an Italian electronic group. The band started in 2001 as a trio, composed of Marco Visconti, Marko Resurreccion, and singer Paul Toohill.

Xiu Xiu /ˈʃuːʃuː/ is an American experimental noisepop group originally from San Jose, California. The band is the brainchild of singer-songwriter Jamie Stewart, who has been its only constant member since its inception. As of 2009, his bandmate has been Angela Seo. The band's name is taken from the 1998 Chinese film Xiu Xiu: The Sent Down Girl.

Work Drugs is an American dream pop duo from Philadelphia, founded by Thomas Crystal and Benjamin Louisiana. The live band currently consists of Crystal (vocals/guitar), alongside Louisiana (vocals/keys), Jonas Ohh (drums), Mr. Kansas City (bass), and Katie Nicks (vocals/percussion).

Wonder Girls (Korean: 원더걸스, Chinese: 奇迹女孩, Japanese: ワンダーガールズ) is a South Korean girl group, whose current line-up is composed of Yubin, Yeeun, Sunmi and Hyerim. They are managed by their producer, the singer-songwriter Park Jin-Young under his talent agency, JYP Entertainment. They are co-managed in the United States by Creative Artists Agency.

William Control is an American electronic music project founded in 2008 in Seattle, Washington. It was side project of Aiden’s William Francis before Aiden's hiatus, and he now operates as William Control full time. He was signed to Victory Records before starting his own independent label Control Records and has released four full length albums (Hate Culture, Noir, Silentium Amoris, and The Neuromancer), an EP (Novus Ordo Seclorum), and two live DVDs (Live in London Town and Babylon). Since the release of "The Neuromancer," Francis does all the work in the studio by himself and has referred to his live band as 'The Neuromantic Boys', and the tag line is now used in conjunction with the William Control name to advertise performances. The 'Boys' currently consist of Kenneth Fletcher (who has been involved with the WC project since "Hate Culture"), Ian MacWilliams, and Ben Tourkantonis.

We Have Band also known as "WHB" is a three-piece electronic music group from Manchester and London consisting of Darren Bancroft and the husband-and-wife duo Thomas Wegg-Prosser and Dede Wegg-Prosser. They have released three albums through the French-based Naïve Records. Their first album, WHB, was released on 5 April 2010 and a ten-track second album, Ternion, was released on 29 January 2012. We Have Band have remixed many artists including Gorillaz, Bloc Party, Micachu, Peter Bjorn and John and M83.

Wave in Head is a one-man German synthpop music project, which was founded in 1993 in Magdeburg, Germany. His name is Michael Pohl.

Vondelpark are an English indie pop group, formed in 2010 in London, England. The band consists of Lewis Rainsbury, Alex Bailey and Matt Lawrenson. The band is named after the public park of the same name.

Vive la Fête (English: Long live the party) are a Belgian music duo from Ghent, East Flanders, formed in 1997 by Danny Mommens (guitar, vocals) and Els Pynoo (vocals).

Venus Hum is an electronic pop music group from Nashville, Tennessee, consisting of vocalist Annette Strean and multi-instrumentalists Kip Kubin and Tony Miracle. Miracle has a rare heart condition which results in perpetually hearing his own heartbeat in his ears. This condition is known as "venous hum", from which the group's name is derived.

Van She is an electropop band formed in 2002 in Sydney, Australia, with Matt Van Schie (pronounced Van Ski) on bass guitar/vocals, Tomek Archer on drums/sequencer, Michael Di Francesco on synth/guitar and Nicholas Routledge on vocals/guitar. The band's debut album, V was released on the Australian label Modular Recordings in August 2008, which peaked at #10 on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) album charts. Their label introduced them as a "new band from Sydney fresh on ideas, fresher than Flavor Flav, fresh like coriander, fresher than the Fresh Prince, fresher than fresh eggs." Despite these claims, the band began with a sound very much rooted in the 1980s, heavy on synthesizer, although later material reflects a more textured sound. They also do remixes of other artists' work both under their own name and as the offshoot, Van She Technologic.

Vacuum is the name of a Swedish pop band. The members are Mattias Lindblom and Anders Wollbeck. They also work as song writers and producers under the same name. As songwriters and producers Wollbeck/Lindblom have worked with artists such as Tarja Turunen, Tina Arena, Garou, Monrose, TVXQ, Keisha Buchanan, f(x) and The Canadian Tenors. Wollbeck/Lindblom are signed to Universal Music Publishing world wide.

Uh Huh Her is an indie/rock/electropop band that was formed in January 2007. The band's name came from an album by artist PJ Harvey, titled Uh Huh Her. The band has mentioned several times changing their name to UHH (pronunciation "U-H-H"), as opposed to the full "Uh Huh Her". They believe the original name looks good in written form, but is awkward to pronounce. It is unclear at this time if the name change will be made official at any point.

ThouShaltNot were a band whose style blends post-punk, goth, industrial music, and synthpop. Active from 1998 to 2013, they were from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and were signed to Dancing Ferret Discs. In 2013 Alex Reed, lead singer and songwriter, announced that the band was no more, and that he would in the future record under the name Seeming.

Theatre of Tragedy was a Norwegian band from Stavanger, active between 1993 and 2010. They are best known for their earlier albums, which influenced the gothic metal genre.

Tesla Boy is a Russian synthpop/new wave band created in 2008 by audio producer and musician Anton Sevidov. The band consists of four members; Sevidov, Leo Zatagin, Stas "Pioneerball" Astakhov, and Mike Studnitsyn.

The Tempers are an American Electronic Art rock band based in Seattle, WA. The group consists of siblings Corina (vocals), Chalia (drums), and James (synth) Bakker. The Teenagers are a French synthpop band formed in late 2005, originally as a joke. They achieved some degree of notoriety with the song "Homecoming", both for its catchy sound and for its explicit language and misogynistic content. Their debut album Reality Check was released in the UK on 17 March 2008 and 18 March 2008 in the rest of Europe and the United States.

Tahiti 80 are a French indie pop band from Rouen. The group was founded in 1999 by Xavier Boyer, Pedro Resende, Médéric Gontier and Sylvain Marchand.

T-ara (/tiˈɑːrə/; Korean: 티아라; Japanese: ティアラ; stylized as T-ARA,T♔ARA, or TΛRΛ) is a South Korean girl group that debuted in 2009 under Core Contents Media, now known as MBK Entertainment. Super Junior-M, often referred to as SJ-M, is a Chinese-South Korean boy band formed in 2008 by South Korea's S.M. Entertainment. The band is the first international music group in the Chinese music industry to have members of both Chinese and Korean descent.

Super 8 Cynics are a four-piece new wave-influenced pop group from the North West of England, consisting of Ady Hall (vocals, guitars, synthesizers, percussion), Mike Healey (synthesizers), Jack Ellis (bass guitar) and Paul Barlow (drums).

Sudeten Creche was formed in 1980 as a semi Warholian experiment by Yvette Döll. The original line up featured Yvette Döll and Paul Carlin, working with associate band members over the years. The band was largely known for the minimal electronic tracks "Are Kisses out of Fashion?" and "Dance", which featured on their first release called "Europe in the Year Zero". This EP also included the Yazoo track "Goodbye ‘70’s" and is the first official release by Yazoo and preceded their Album Upstairs at Eric's. Also featured on the EP were Colour Me Pop, formerly known as Watch with Mother.

Suburban Vegetable were formed as an improvisational synth-pop duo by Gareth Davies and Andrew Girardin in Manchester, England in 1989. Their early work was influenced by The KLF and the Pet Shop Boys although Davies' love of progressive rock gave their work a more off-the-wall approach. They signed to Saltwater Records in October 1989 and released their debut single One For Uncle Martin later that month. This was followed in 1990 by their debut LP "Mr.Ridley"

Strange Talk is an Australian synthpop band from Melbourne, Victoria, consisting of Gerard Sidhu, Stephen Docker, Travis Constable and Gillan Gregory. The band was formed in February 2010 by friends Gerard and Stephen, who write both the lyrics and the music. Their sound has been likened to that of Cut Copy, Passion Pit, Phoenix and Yeasayer.

Stellar (Korean: 스텔라, stylized as STELLAR) is a South Korean girl group that debuted in 2011 under The Entertainment Pascal (formerly known as Top Class Entertainment). After the release of their debut single, "Rocket Girl", Lee Seul and JoA left the group and were replaced by Hyoeun and Minhee.

Static Icon is a synthpop band. They started in Adelaide, Australia as a three-piece band called "Das Concept". In their first incarnation they were a Depeche Mode cover band. Gradually they introduced more and more original material into their set. To complete the transition to a fully original band, they changed their name to Static Icon and dropped all but one or two Depeche Mode covers from their set.

Starfucker (sometimes stylized as STRFKR), briefly known as Pyramiddd, is an American indie rock band from Portland, Oregon. Formed in 2007, the band was initially started as a solo project by Joshua Hodges.

Spray is a 21st-century synthpop duo from England, consisting of Jenny McLaren and Ricardo Autobahn. Following the demise of their previous band, the Cuban Boys (famous for their Hampster Dance record and John Peel sessions), McLaren and Autobahn released the album Living In Neon on Ninthwave Records in the USA. This was followed in 2003 by the extended single "I Am Gothic". A new album, Children of a Laser God was released online in 2006, along with the single "Run With Us", a cover of the theme tune of the popular 1980's cartoon The Raccoons with the "Michael Trenfield" remix as the main single accompanied with the original version and remixes from JKZ, Absorb, FMU and Diskowarp.

Spleen United is a Danish electronic rock band consisting of the brothers Bjarke (Vocals/Guitar) and Gaute Niemann (Bass/ Synth), Kasper Nørlund (Synth/Backing vocals), Rune Wehner (Synth) and Janus Nevel Ringsted (Drums). It was formed in Århus, Denmark in 2002.

Spica (Hangul: 스피카, stylized as SPICA) is a South Korean girl group formed in 2012 under B2M Entertainment. The group released "Doggedly" (독하게) as a prologue single, on January 31, 2012 and officially debuted on February 9 with the mini album Russian Roulette. Sohodolls are an English electronic music band from London. The group was formed in 2003 and, following various line-up changes, consits of Maya von Doll (vocals), Toni Sailor (guitar), Weston Doll (Steven Weston) (keyboards), Matt Lord (double bass) and Paul Stone (drums).

Six Finger Satellite (a.k.a. 6FS) are an American synthesizer-based post-hardcore band, based in Providence, Rhode Island.

Silicon Dream was a synthpop band formed by the German Klaus Munzert (born 14 July 1957) in 1987. Other prominent members were the dancers Angelo and Danny, who featured on the band's music videos.

Silence is a Slovene electronic, synthpop and soundtrack music composing duo consisting of Boris Benko (singer and songwriter) and Primož Hladnik (keyboards and arrangements). Their fanbase and their tours are currently limited to Slovenia, Germany and parts of Eastern Europe. Sally Shapiro is the pseudonym of a Swedish vocalist and the name of the Italo disco/synthpop duo composed of Shapiro and musician Johan Agebjörn.

Seabound is an electronic dance music duo from Germany. Their lyrics are in English and for the most part explore the human psyche and the way that everyday events can affect a person psychologically. Hence the band's slogan; "Seabound: Journey Into Your Mind."

The Saturdays are a British girl group based in London, England. The group formed during the summer of 2007. The line up consists of Frankie Bridge, Una Foden, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King and Vanessa White. They were formed through Fascination Records, who gave them an instant record deal with the label as well as a sub-division of Polydor Records. As soon as the contract was finalised, the band went on tour with Girls Aloud during their Tangled Up Tour. The group's music style is pop, however throughout their career they management have experimented with dance-pop and electropop. To create this music, Ina Wroldsen, Steve Mac and Quiz & Larossi have been heavily involved.

Saint Etienne are an English indie dance/indie pop band from London, formed in 1990. The band consists of Sarah Cracknell, Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs. They are named after the French football team AS Saint-Étienne.

Rust Belt Music (sometimes abbreviated RBM) is a San Francisco-based band that formed in 2001. The band has toured the United States and received numerous positive reviews in the alternative press (in both North and South America). The original members were John Lindenbaum (vocals, guitar), Chris Cortelyou (drums), Laurin Askew (bass) and Micah Weinberg (keyboards). Askew and Weinberg were eventually replaced with Jason Michael (bass) and Andre Perry (keyboards).

Röyksopp (Norwegian pronunciation: ) are a Norwegian electronic music duo from Tromsø, formed in 1998. Since their inception, the band has consisted of Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland.

La Roux (/lɑːˈruː/ lah-ROO) is an English synthpop act formed in 2006 by singer Elly Jackson and record producer Ben Langmaid. Their debut album La Roux (2009) was a critical and commercial success, winning a Grammy Award and producing hit singles such as "In for the Kill" and "Bulletproof". Recording of a follow-up album was marred by unsuccessful collaborations, the cancellation of two planned release dates, and reported conflict between the duo. Langmaid ultimately left the group, and Jackson released a second album, Trouble in Paradise, in 2014, maintaining the former duo's name.

Rossetti's Compass is a synthpop and EBM music band created in November 2010 by British musician Mark Warner. It was conceived out of a desire to explore different directions in the electro musical sphere, from pure synthpop to dark and menacing electro and EBM. In 2013 the band released three albums, including a limited edition semi-live recording session. True to its self-imposed remit of exploration, the Rossetti's Compass catalogue of works includes track remixes for bands from across the genre, including A.W.o.L. Angst Pop, Kant Kino, HNN, Technomancer, Shatoo, Attrition, and Naked Lunch.

Roman Grey was a Canadian band from the 1980s. Formed in 1982 by Ross Roman and David Grey, their first self-titled EP release on Relativity Records became a No. 1 hit in Italy. The band found success in Canada with their 1988 album Edge of the Shadow, produced by Terry Brown (of Rush fame).

Queen of Japan is a music trio from Europe, known for its synthpop sound and cover versions of hits from the 1970s and 1980s.

Q was a small American techno band, formed in 1982 by Jon St. James and Stacey Swain. Ross Wood was also a group member, and John Van Tongeren was involved as well. The group only had two releases: a 7" single of their song "Playback" on Cocteau Records, and a four-track EP released almost exclusively to college radio stations that has become known among fans as The Q EP. Only 1,000 copies were printed of the EP, and it is considered highly collectable.

Purity Ring is a Canadian electronic music duo formed in 2010 and originally from Edmonton, Alberta. The band consists of Megan James (vocals) and Corin Roddick (instrumentals).

Public Service Broadcasting are a London-based pseudonymous musical duo consisting of J. Willgoose, Esq. on guitar, banjo, other stringed instruments, samplings and electronic instruments; and Wrigglesworth on drums, piano and electronic instruments. The band have toured internationally and in 2015 they were announced as nominees in the Vanguard breakthrough category of the fourth annual Progressive Music Awards, staged by Prog magazine, which they won.

Psyche are a Canadian dark synthpop band, now based in Germany. They are centered on singer Darrin Huss, who has been the only constant member, with various line-ups including his brother Stephen Huss, later followed by David Kristian, Per-Anders Kurenbach, and Remi Szyszka, all recording albums with Darrin under the name Psyche.

Pitch Yarn of Matter (PYM) is a synthpop project by Brazilian electronic musician Marcelo Gallo that released two studio albums in the 1990s as well as a number of tracks that found their way onto electronic music compilations.

Peter Hook and The Light are an English rock band, formed in May 2010 by the former Joy Division and New Order bassist, Peter Hook. The band also features Hook's son Jack Bates (bass), as well as Andy Poole (keyboards) and Paul Kehoe (drums), who both played with Hook as part of Monaco, one of Hook's previous groups. From the first gigs in May 2010, Nat Wason (formerly of Haven) was the group's guitarist, however in July 2013 it was announced that Wason would be moving on, to be replaced by David Potts, another former member of Monaco.

Passion Pit is an American indietronica band from Cambridge, Massachusetts, formed in 2007. The band consists solely of Michael Angelakos (lead vocals/keyboards), joined live by Chris Hartz (drums), Aaron Harrison Folb (bass/synthesizers), Giuliano Pizzulo (guitar/synthesizers), and Ray Suen (guitar/synthesizers).

Founded in 1981 by Tom Ferris and Cal Stephenson, Moev is an electronic music group that recorded on Atlantic Records, Nettwerk Records, Go! Records and Cop International. Based in Vancouver, British Columbia their most successful album was Yeah Whatever in 1989, which combined dark, solemn, anthemic lyrics with disjointed beats, trickling electronics, and occasional spoken-word samples. Singles from the album include "Yeah Whatever", "Wanting", and "Crucify Me", the only lyrics to which are "Why would you / Crucify me?" (Other than alienated spoken-word samples "Properly sedated", "Take four red capsules, help is on the way" and "For the masses", which are all taken from George Lucas' 1971 film THX 1138.) "Crucify Me" went as high as number 4 in Rolling Stone Magazine Top Dance Tracks.

Metro Station is an American synthpop band that was formed in Los Angeles by Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso. In late 2006, the band signed a recording contract with Columbia Records and RED Ink Records. The band is best known for the Top 10 Billboard hit single "Shake It" from their self-titled debut album. In 2010, tension between Cyrus and Musso caused the band to go on hiatus. In 2011 the band returned, however it was announced that Cyrus was no longer a part of the group and Musso had purchased the rights to the name. An EP entitled Middle of the Night was released in 2013, which was led by the single "Every Time I Touch You". In 2014 Cyrus returned to the band and a new single entitled "Love & War" was released. Metrô is a famous Brazilian band formed in 1979 under the name A Gota Suspensa before renaming themselves in 1984. Kish Mauve is a British electropop group. The group was formed in 2005 in London, England, and consists of Mima Stilwell (vocals) and Jim Eliot (synthesizer, vocals).

Kid Montana began as an alter-ego for Belgian musician Jean-Marc Lederman (The Weathermen/Jules et Jim) in 1981. The electro-pop pioneer, singer and performance artist Heloise & The Savoir Faire has built a career out of mapping new sonic topography, pushing out through the territories of funk, dance-pop and R&B with her powerful pipes, as on her first official release 2008′s Trash, Rats and Microphones. Heloise Williams’ debut bottled all the energy and panache that made her a critical darling and certified dance-floor napalm, garnering a record deal with Elijah Woods’ Simian Records and a fan and collaborator in punk-wave OG Debbie Harry. Started as an electro-punk outfit based in Brooklyn, New York, Heloise Williams collaborated with Joe "Juge" Shepard and then Sara Sweet Rabidoux to create one of a kind, theatrical, pop-art performance pieces utilizing choreographed dance and multiple costume changes all to original raw electronic music. In the summer of 2004, Heloise began experimenting with a backup band on a few songs. The original three band members were James Bellizia (guitar), Jason Cooley (bass), and Luke Hughett (drums). Jason Diamond replaced Jason Cooley who left the band in 2005. The current touring lineup features Heloise Williams and James Bellizia who are a married couple. They relocated to Vermont in 2010 where Heloise wrote the majority of her sophomore release "Diamond Dust." Released March 26, 2013, "Diamond Dust" represents all the same energy of "Trash, Rats and Microphones" while plumbing brand new emotional depths. Burnished by anxiety and gilded in certainty, Williams’ latest is the sum of lab experiments, self-imposed northern exiles and mythology. The new album’s DNA owes as much to C.S. Girls Aloud was an English-Irish pop girl group, which was created through the ITV talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002. The group comprised singers Nadine Coyle, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh. The group achieved a string of twenty consecutive top ten singles in the United Kingdom, including four number ones. They also achieved seven certified albums, of which two reached number one. They have been nominated for five Brit Awards, winning the 2009 Best Single for "The Promise".

Fun Fun were a popular Italian Italo disco/synthpop musical group during the 1980s. Their hits included "Colour My Love" and "Baila Bolero".

Frazier Chorus were a pop group from Brighton, England. A pop group without the usual guitarist, bassist or drummer; they instead utilised flute, clarinet, bongos and hushed vocals.

Filthy Dukes are a synthpop band from London, England. The band is composed of Olly Dixon (sampling, electronic percussion, electric guitar), Tim Lawton (synthesisers, lead vocalist) and Mark Ralph (bass guitar, backing vocals). Having been active since 2005, the band released their debut single "Tupac Robot Club Rock" on Fiction Records. The track features vocals by Philadelphian rap group Plastic Little. Their debut album, Nonsense in the Dark, was released on Monday 16 March 2009 with the track Messages receiving a lot of airplay. It was later released as a single.

Fiestar (Korean: 피에스타) is a five-member girl group from South Korea formed by LOEN Entertainment.

Fangoria are a Spanish electropop duo, consisting of Olvido Gara (aka Alaska, main vocals, occasional guitar), and Nacho Canut (keyboards, occasional bass guitar). Fangoria have sold 1 million records worldwide since 1989.

Exo (Korean: 엑소; stylized as EXO) is a Chinese-South Korean boy band based in Seoul. Formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2011, the group consists of twelve members separated into two subgroups, EXO-K and EXO-M, performing music in Korean and Mandarin, respectively. EXO rose to fame with the release of their best-selling first album XOXO (2013), which contained the breakthrough hit "Growl". XOXO was a critical and commercial success, winning both Disk Daesang at the 28th Golden Disk Awards and Album of the Year at the 15th Mnet Asian Music Awards. It eventually went to sell over one million copies, putting EXO as the fastest-selling Korean artist in twelve years. Their third EP Overdose (2014) made EXO the highest-charting Korean male act on the Billboard 200.

EXID (/iː ˈɛks aɪ ˈdiː/; Hangul: 이엑스아이디), an acronym for Exceed In Dreaming, is a five-member South Korean girl group, composed of Solji, LE, Hani, Hyerin and Junghwa. They debuted on February 16, 2012 with the release of "Holla". The quintet released their first EP Hippity Hop in August 2012, but it was met with limited success. Their 2014 single "Up & Down", however, reached number one on the Gaon Singles Chart four months after its initial release.

Entre Ríos is an Argentine indietronica band originally formed in Buenos Aires by Sebastián Carreras, Gabriel Lucena and Isol (Marisol Misenta) in 2000. They became popular when the song "Hoy no" was used in a Quilmes spot.

Empire of the Sun is an Australian-German electronic music duo from Sydney, formed in 2007. The band is a collaboration between Luke Steele of alternative rock act The Sleepy Jackson, and Nick Littlemore of electronic dance outfit Pnau. Their 2008 debut album Walking on a Dream brought the duo international success and has been certified double platinum in Australia and gold in the United Kingdom (UK). The album provided a number of internationally charting singles including "Walking on a Dream" which peaked at number ten on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart and reached number sixty four on the UK Singles Chart, and "We Are the People", which peaked at number fourteen on the UK Singles Chart.

Electrovamp are a Welsh electropop duo, consisting of sisters Tammy-Jay and Kally Davies (the younger), who were signed to Island Records. They were originally called Kute and supported Girls Aloud on their What Will the Neighbours Say? Live tour consisting of twenty-five dates in the UK. They have released four singles to date, their debut single, "I Don't Like the Vibe in the VIP", released on 31 December 2007, followed by "Drinks Taste Better When They're Free", which was released on 13 October 2008 and appears on the soundtrack to the 2008 comedy film How to Lose Friends & Alienate People (which also includes another song by them, titled "I Love What You Do"). Electrovamp were nominated for Best New Artist at the TRL Awards 2008 in Italy.

Eight Seconds was a synthpop/progressive rock band formed in 1982 in Ottawa, Canada. They are best known for their 1987 top-20 single "Kiss You (When It's Dangerous)" from the full-length album Almacantar. The band's lineup included Andrés del Castillo (vocals/guitar), March Cesare (bass), Frank Levin (keyboards), Scott Milks (drums), and Marc Parent (guitar).

Edge of Dawn is a German futurepop band consisting of Mario Schumacher and Frank M. Spinath (also a member of Seabound). Schumacher founded the band as a solo project in 1998. Spinath joined the project as vocalist in 2005. The duo's debut release, also in 2005, was the EP The Flight . This was followed by two releases in 2007: the full-length Enjoy the Fall, which achieved the number three position on the German Alternative Chart in June 2007 and the EP Borderline Black Heart. Edge of Dawn's second studio album Anything That Gets You Through The Night was released May 21, 2010. In between releases, Edge of Dawn has contributed both original tracks and remixes to several Dependent compilations.

Echo Image is a Norwegian synthpop band. The band unofficially started in 1997 when Pål Magnus Rybom started experimenting with electronic music. Later that year Fredrik Hansen joined and Echo Image was officially formed with Trine Bilet joining towards the end of the year providing backing vocals and keyboards. Bilet is featured on the front cover of the Endless Day EP.

Dubstar are an English band, performing mostly dream pop and indie dance music, as well as occasional pop ballads and, on later releases, guitar-heavy rock with an industrial influence. The group was formed in 1992 by Steve Hillier and Chris Wilkie in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Sarah Blackwood joined in 1993, replacing Hillier on vocals.

Super Junior-Donghae & Eunhyuk (Korean: 슈퍼주니어-동해&은혁, also known as D&E) is the fifth official subgroup of the South Korean boy band Super Junior, formed by SM Entertainment in 2011. The sub-group is composed of two Super Junior members Donghae and Eunhyuk. The duo's first official performance was on December 16, 2011, on KBS's Music Bank, performing '떴다 오빠 (Oppa, Oppa)'. The group released their first Korean extended play (EP), The Beat Goes On on March 9, 2015.

DATA were an electronic music band created in the late 1970s by Georg Kajanus, creator of such bands as Eclection, Sailor and Noir (with Tim Dry of the robotic/music duo Tik and Tok). Client (frequently stylised as CLIEИT) is an English electronic music group from London, formed in 2002. They are most popular in Germany where they have had limited commercial success. They typically combine airline hostess uniforms or shiny fetish fashion outfits with glamour-girl aesthetics and harsh electronics to create a sound reminiscent of early forays into electronic sound manipulation and new wave. They are best known for their hit singles "Everytime We Touch", "What Hurts the Most" and "Evacuate the Dancefloor". Cascada have sold over 30 million albums worldwide, an estimated 15 million digital downloads, and have an estimated net worth of over 7 million. Cascada represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden. The C.I.P is an electronic duo band formed in late 2013 in Italy but active in Australia (Sydney) and Europe (Dublin) at the moment. The group consists of Michele Scheveger (lead vocals and additional synthesizer) and Simone Cavalli (synthesizer and samplers).

Boytronic is a German music group that plays electropop. It was founded in 1983 by Holger Wobker and Peter Sawatzki in Hamburg, Germany as Kapitän Sehnsucht (Captain Desire). The original Boytronic released two synthpop albums: The Working Model (1983) and The Continental (1985). The record company, claiming rights to the band name, put together a completely different line-up in 1986. It was headed by Hayo Lewerentz (Hayo Panarinfo) (U96/Major Records) and continued to record under the Boytronic name until the mid-90's. In 2002, Boytronic was revived by Wobker from the original group and Panarinfo from the second incarnation.

Boxcar is an Australian Sydney-based synthpop and techno band. Formed in the mid-1980s in Brisbane by main songwriter guitarist and vocalist David Smith, he was soon joined by keyboardists Brett Mitchell and Carol Rohde and somewhat later by drummer-percussionist Crispin Trist. They initially released several cassette-only releases including the album P.C.M.. Boxcar's early material sounded similar to contemporaries such as Cabaret Voltaire and Severed Heads. Boxcar were also notable for playing many live shows in the Brisbane area and around the country, including shows where they performed wearing gas masks. Performing electronic music live was a difficult feat given the preference in Australian live venues for guitar-driven pub rock and they would sometimes be jeered by members of the crowd.

Bone Symphony were a short-lived synthpop/new wave active in the early 1980s. The group consisted of Scott Wilk on lead vocals and synthesizer, Marc Levinthal (guitar, bass synthesizer and sequencer, drum machine, 808 programming) and keyboard artist Jacob Magnusson (Iceland). All band members played synthesizer keyboards. They were signed to Capitol Records and released only one record, Bone Symphony EP, in 1983

Bonanza Banzai was a popular Hungarian synth-pop band, formed in the 1980s and active through the 1990s. Among its members was Kovács Ákos, now a solo singer-songwriter.

Blush is an Asian girl group originally composed of five members from the Philippines, India, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea. They were formed by FarWest Entertainment in 2010 with the intent of popularizing an Asian vocal act in the United States as well as in all of Asia. They perform in the English language and are based in Los Angeles, California. A reality show called Project Lotus: The Search for Blush about how the band was formed, premiered on Channel V on March 8, 2012. The group was the first Asian group to have its debut single hit the top 3 on a major US Billboard Chart when "Undivided" feat. Snoop Dogg made No. 3 on the Billboard Dance/Play Chart. Their second single "Dance On" got to No. 1 on that chart.

Blume are an Italian electronic music band formed in 2008. The group consists of Enrico Filisetti (Vocals), Ivan Savino (Synthesizers & Programming) and Daniele De Fabritiis (Guitars). Their sound comprises a mixture between Synthpop, Darkwave and Electronic body music elements.

Blady (Korean: 블레이디) or Blessed Lady is a five-member South Korean girl group originally formed by SY6 Entertainment and currently produced by Star Planet. Black Cherry are a British/French electro pop band. The band was formed in London in 2007 by singer/songwriter Megane Quashie, drummer/producer Guilhem Fraisse and guitarist Robert Moore. After performing at Glastonbury 2008 on The Other Stage as well as many other festivals that year, Black Cherry release their first EP 'This is Control' in the beginning of 2009 and embarked on an American Tour. After playing a number of festivals including Hungary's Balaton Sounds the band lost guitarist Robert Moore after he died. The band's second EP "The Preface" was dedicated to his memory. After playing at Glastonbury Festival again in 2010 festival organiser Michael Eavis called them "The best looking band at the festival". In 2011 the played at South by Southwest Festival and toured America. In Summer the band announced the release of their double A-Side "One Another"/"Lost in the System" on 29 August to be distributed by Island/Def Jam Records and received positive reviews in The Guardian Newspaper. The band are currently working on a full length album.

Big Bang are a British electronic music duo that came to prominence in the late 1980s. The band consists of Laurence Malice (founder of Trade nightclub) and Iain Williams (writer). Based in London, the duo were signed to Swanyard Records and spearheaded the music genre known as big beat.

Big Bang (Korean: 빅뱅; often stylized as BIGBANG) is a South Korean boy band formed by YG Entertainment. Consisting of members G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri, the group officially debuted on August 19, 2006. Predominantly a hip hop group, their debut was a moderate success, with their first self-titled Korean album selling 48,000 copies. Their breakthrough came with the release of their first extended play, Always (2007), which included the number one song "Lies" (Korean: 거짓말; Revised Romanization: Geojitmal). The song went on to top major Korean music charts for a record-breaking seven consecutive weeks, and won the group the Song of the Year award at the 9th Mnet Korean Music Festival.

Beyond Dawn is a Norwegian avant-garde metal band turned electropop composed of Espen Ingierd, Petter Haavik, Tore Gjedrem, and Einar Sjursø. They are described on their official website as "Norway's Best & Least Selling Act", which most likely insinuates Beyond Dawn's distinct artistic integrity being connected with their relative lack of commercial success. After two demo tapes in 1990 and 1991, the band were picked up by French label Adipocere Records, which made possible the band's first two commercial releases, 1993's Up Through the Linear Shades 7" and 1994's Longing For Scarlet Days EP. In 1995, Beyond Dawn released their critically acclaimed full length debut Pity Love on Candlelight Records. Soon after, the band began work on an album intended to be a departure from the doom metal music they were becoming known for, but their record label was less than pleased with the band's drastic change in sound and they were soon in search of a new label. They eventually signed with Misanthropy Records and released Revelry in 1998 to more critical praise. Beyond Dawn eventually resumed work on the would-be 1996 album and, after adding additional material and overdubs, released In Reverie in 1999 on Eibon Records, which would also be reissued in 2005 with two bonus tracks included. During the latter half of 1999, they released Electric Sulking Machine on the Peaceville label, which soon became a favorite amongst fans and remains sought after due to its limited pressing.

Berlin Blondes was an early Glasgow synthpop band, who formed in 1978 and released a major-label album in 1980. Members went on to Altered Images and Endgames.

Beograd (Serbian Cyrillic: Београд, trans. Belgrade) is a Serbian and former Yugoslav synthpop band, notable as one of the pioneers of the former Yugoslav electronic music scene.

Belanova are a Mexican pop Grammy award-winning band that formed in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, in 2000. The group consists of Denisse Guerrero (lead vocals), Edgar Huerta (keyboards, programming) and Ricardo "Richie" Arreola (bass, guitar). Although these are the only three official members, several other musicians perform in the band's live lineup, most notably Israel "Campanita" Ulloa (drums) and Richo Acosta (guitar). The band was signed to Virus Records, owned by Universal Music, in 2002.

Becky Becky is a literary inspired electro-synth-pop duo composed of Gemma L Williams (formerly Woodpecker Wooliams) and ex-Fence Collective member Peter J D Mason.

Be The Bear is the alternative pop music project of Danish/English artist Christina Wehage in collaboration with Swedish music producer Mattias Bolin and mix engineer Unne Liljeblad. Their single Bad Things topped the iTunes electronic charts in Sweden in 2012 and their debut album is set to be released in January 2014.

Bastion (Macedonian: Бастион) was an eminent electronic music group from Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, notable for its member Kiril Džajkovski (Кирил Џајковски), who later rose to international prominence as a solo musician, DJ and a composer of the soundtrack album for Milčo Mančevski's movie Dust.

Bastille (stylised as BΔSTILLE) are an English indie pop band formed in 2010. They began as a solo project by singer-songwriter Dan Smith, who later decided to form a band. The four-piece is completed by Chris 'Woody' Wood, William Farquarson and Kyle Simmons. They recently added a touring member to the band, Charlie Barnes. The name of the band derives from Bastille Day, which is celebrated on 14 July, Smith's birthday.

Azul 29 (Portuguese for Blue 29) was a short-lived Brazilian new wave band, founded in 1982 by two former members of synthpop band Agentss. They are famous for their 1984 hit "Videogame".

Ayumikurikamaki (あゆみくりかまき, stylized as "ARUMIKURIKAMAKI"?) is a Japanese idol group. It consists of singer "Ayumi", DJ "Kurika" and hype-woman "Maki". The three girls are managed by Id Entertainment agency.

Ayria is a Canadian futurepop/synthpop musical project formed in early 2003 by Toronto's Jennifer Parkin following her departure from the futurepop and EBM band Epsilon Minus. The lighter, ethereal side of gothic, her work shows a collage of smooth textures and soft vocals over collisions of bass and driving beats, danceable and melodic with the darker elements and themes of electro-industrial music still present.

Austra is a Canadian electronic music band from Toronto, Ontario, formed in 2009. The band consists of Katie Stelmanis (vocals, keyboards), her former Galaxy bandmate Maya Postepski (drums) and former Spiral Beach bassist Dorian Wolf. They played a number of early shows under the name Private Life before learning that another band was already using the name; they subsequently named the band after Stelmanis' middle name Austra, which is also the name of the goddess of light in Latvian mythology. Austra used to include twin backing singers Sari and Romy Lightman of Tasseomancy. Keyboardist Ryan Wonsiak of Ze and the Boyfriends makes up the quartet.

Angels and Agony are a Dutch futurepop band consisting of vocalist Reinier Kahle, guitarist Erik Wierenga, DJ Marco van Belle on synthesizer and backing vocals and Fried Bruggink as sound engineer and drummer. The band formed in 1995 and produced two EPs before its first full album, Eternity (2001). Eternity was produced by VNV Nation's Ronan Harris. Agentss was a short-lived Brazilian new wave band formed in São Paulo in 1980, famous for their quirky science fiction-influenced visuals and lyrics which were sung in a dialect invented by frontman Kodiak Bachine called "elektrotranzlyriks" — a mixture of words in Portuguese, French, German, English and "extraterrestrial idioms".

Adolphson–Falk is a Swedish synthpop band, fronted by Tomas Adolphson (music, vocals) and Anders Falk (lyrics, music, vocals). Greg Fitzpatrick (keyboard) and Dagge Lundquist (mixing) were of importance for the successful electronical sound.

Act were a short-lived synthpop group signed to ZTT Records in the late 1980s, and comprising British musician Thomas Leer and German ex-Propaganda vocalist Claudia Brücken. Besides synthpop and disco, the group were also influenced by psychedelic rock and musical theatre. Lyrically, their songs tended to be concerned with decadence and the moral bankruptcy. The band dissolved shortly after the release of their first album Laughter, Tears and Rage in 1988.

Ace of Base is a Swedish pop group, originally consisting of Ulf "Buddha" Ekberg and three siblings, Jonas "Joker" Berggren, Malin "Linn" Berggren and Jenny Berggren. They released four studio albums between 1992 and 2002, which sold over 30 million copies worldwide, making them the third-most successful band from Sweden of all time, after ABBA and Roxette.

Accessory is a German synthpop/electro-industrial group consisting of Dirk Steyer and Ivo Lottig. They have toured with other groups, including Hocico, And One, Terminal Choice.

A five-member South Korean girl group formed in 2009 by Cube Entertainment with music singles and albums released primarily in South Korea and Japan.

2Yoon (Hangul: 투윤, commonly stylized as 2YOON) is the first sub-group of South Korean girl group 4Minute, formed by Cube Entertainment in 2013. The sub-group consists of Gayoon and Jiyoon.

2wo Third3 (pronounced "two thirds") were a gay four piece 1990s electropop group, with three performing members and one non-performing songwriting member. They were called 2wo Third3 because out of the performing members, the two backing members dressed in identical clothing usually with rubber gloves and the frontman, Lee, did not. He usually wore a trademark 2wo Third3 plaster on his face (this being pre-Nelly). The fourth member was represented by a cartoon character called Biff, who appeared in the band's promotional material and record covers.
