Obstetrics and Gynecology are two branches of medicine related to women's health and the female reproductive system. Obstetrics is the field of pregnancy and childbirth; gynecologists are more general female health specialists handling routine care and diagnosing illnesses and problems of the female reproductive tract. Practiced together, they are shortened to OB/GYN.
