Triple A MLB Teams

The Norfolk Tides are a minor league baseball team in the Triple-A International League. They play at Harbor Park in Norfolk, Virginia. Since 2007 they have been a farm team of the Baltimore Orioles; prior to that, they had a 38-year affiliation with the New York Mets.

The Reno Aces are a Minor League Baseball franchise in the western United States, based in Reno, Nevada. The team is a member of the Pacific Coast League and is the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.The franchise is owned by SK Baseball, LLC and is a part of the PCL Pacific Conference's North Division along with the Tacoma Rainiers, Sacramento River Cats, and Fresno Grizzlies. The Aces began their inaugural season in 2009 on the road on April 10, and played their home opener in the new Aces Ballpark on April 17.

The Pawtucket Red Sox (known colloquially as the PawSox) are the minor league baseball Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox and play their games in the International League. The team plays their home games at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. They are the only professional baseball team in Rhode Island. Their most recent championship win was in 2014.

The Gwinnett Braves are a professional minor league baseball team based in unincorporated Gwinnett County, Georgia (though their mailing address says Lawrenceville) within the Atlanta metropolitan area. The team plays in the South Division of International League and they are the Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves Major League Baseball club.

The Charlotte Knights are a minor league baseball team in Charlotte, North Carolina. The team, which plays in the International League, is the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox of the American League. The Knights play at BB&T Ballpark located in Uptown Charlotte.

The Iowa Cubs are a Triple-A minor league baseball team, affiliated with the Chicago Cubs, that plays in the Pacific Coast League. Their home games are played in Des Moines, Iowa, at Principal Park.

The Columbus Clippers are a minor league baseball team based in Columbus, Ohio. The team plays in the International League and is the Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. The team is owned by the government of Franklin County, Ohio.

The Louisville Bats are an American minor league professional baseball franchise based in Louisville, Kentucky. The Bats are the Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. The team, formerly known as the Louisville RiverBats, plays in the International League. The Bats play their home games at Louisville Slugger Field; the naming rights for the stadium were purchased by Hillerich & Bradsby, makers of the famous Louisville Slugger baseball bat.

The Toledo Mud Hens are a minor league baseball team located in Toledo, Ohio. The Mud Hens play in the International League, and are affiliated with the Detroit Tigers franchise of Major League Baseball, based about 50 miles north of Toledo.

The Albuquerque Isotopes are a Minor League Baseball team based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The team, which plays in the Pacific Coast League, is the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. The team was affiliated with the Florida Marlins from 2003-Â-2008 and the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2009Â--2014.

The Fresno Grizzlies are a minor league baseball team based in Fresno, California. The team, which plays in the Pacific Coast League (PCL), is the Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros major league club. The Grizzlies play in Chukchansi Park (capacity 12,500), located in downtown Fresno and built in 2002. The Fresno Grizzlies' colors are black and orange. All games are broadcast on KYNO, with Doug Greenwald handling the play-by-play.

The Oklahoma City Dodgers are a minor league baseball team based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The team, which plays in the Pacific Coast League, is the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. They play at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, located in the Bricktown Entertainment District in downtown Oklahoma City.

The Omaha Storm Chasers are a minor league baseball team, based in Papillion, Nebraska, a city southwest of Omaha. The team is the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals major league club and has been a member of the expanded Pacific Coast League since 1998. From 1969 to 1997, Omaha played in the now-dissolved American Association. Omaha has been the only Triple-A affiliate of Kansas City since their inception as an expansion team in 1969.

The New Orleans Zephyrs are a minor league baseball team based in Metairie, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans. The Zephyrs play in the Pacific Coast League and are the Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. The Zephyrs play their home games at Zephyr Field.

The Salt Lake Bees is a minor league baseball team based in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Bees play in the Pacific Coast League and are the Triple A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Los Angeles Angels. Home games are played at Smith's Ballpark, in Salt Lake City.

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox are a minor league baseball team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The team's colors are red and blue. The team plays in the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and is the Triple-A affiliate of the major league Milwaukee Brewers. The Sky Sox won the PCL title in 1992 and again in 1995.

The Rochester Red Wings are a minor league baseball team based in Rochester, New York. The team plays in the International League and is the top minor league affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. The Red Wings play in Frontier Field, located in downtown Rochester. Founded in 1899, it is the oldest continuously operating sports franchise in North America below the major league level.

The Las Vegas 51s, formerly known as the Las Vegas Stars, are a minor league baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets. They are located in Las Vegas, Nevada, and are named for Area 51 which is located near Rachel, Nevada, about 80 miles north of Las Vegas.

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders are a professional minor league baseball team based in Moosic, Pennsylvania in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area. The team plays in Northern Division of International League and is the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees Major League Baseball club. The team plays at PNC Field (formerly Lackawanna County Stadium), their home since 1989.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are a minor league baseball team that plays in the International League. The IronPigs are the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. The team plays their home games at Coca-Cola Park, which is located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The brand new Coca-Cola Park, which opened for the start of the IronPigs' first season in 2008, seats up to 8,100, with a capacity of 10,000, and cost $50.25 million to complete.

The Nashville Sounds are a minor league baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics. They are located in Nashville, Tennessee, and are named for the city's association with the music industry. The team plays its home games at First Tennessee Park which opened in 2015 and is partially located on the former site of the historic Sulphur Dell ballpark. The Sounds previously played at Herschel Greer Stadium from its opening in 1978 until the end of the 2014 season.

The Indianapolis Indians are a minor league baseball team in Indianapolis, Indiana, which plays in the International League. The Triple-A affiliate of the Major League Baseball Pittsburgh Pirates, the Indians play at Victory Field in downtown Indianapolis. The team's mascot is Rowdie the Bear. Founded in 1902, the Indianapolis Indians are the second-oldest minor league franchise in American professional baseball.

The Tacoma Rainiers are a minor league baseball team that plays in the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and are the Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. A team located in Tacoma, Washington has been in the PCL every year since 1960, for the longest current active streak of membership in the league. The Rainiers are based only 36 miles south of Seattle, the shortest distance between a Triple-A team and its major-league parent.

The El Paso Chihuahuas are a minor league baseball team representing El Paso, Texas in the Pacific Coast League (PCL). They are the Triple-A affiliate for the San Diego Padres. The team moved to El Paso from Tucson, Arizona.

The Durham Bulls are a Triple-A minor league baseball team that currently plays in the International League. The Bulls play their home games at Durham Bulls Athletic Park located in the downtown area of Durham, North Carolina. Durham Bulls Athletic Park is often called the "DBAP" or "D-Bap". The Bulls are the Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. Established in 1902 as the Durham Tobacconists and disbanded many times over the years, the Bulls became internationally famous in 1988 following the release of the movie Bull Durham starring Kevin Costner, Tim Robbins, and Susan Sarandon.

The Sacramento River Cats are a minor league baseball team based in West Sacramento, California. The team plays in the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and is the Triple-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's San Francisco Giants. Through the 2014 season, they were the top affiliate of the Oakland Athletics.

The Round Rock Express is a class Triple-A Pacific Coast League minor league baseball team in Round Rock, Texas, owned by RSR Sports and founded by Reid Ryan, son of Baseball Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan. The team is affiliated with the Texas Rangers.

The Memphis Redbirds are the Triple-A minor league baseball affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. They play their home games at AutoZone Park in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. The stadium's capacity is 10,000. They entered the Pacific Coast League (PCL) as an expansion team in 1998, and were owned as a non-profit community entity until being acquired by the Cardinals organization in November 2013. The Redbirds had been previously operated by Global Spectrum, a Comcast-owned company.

The Buffalo Bisons are a professional minor league baseball team based in Buffalo, New York. They currently play in the International League (IL) and are currently the Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. The Bisons play at Coca-Cola Field in downtown Buffalo. The current incarnation of the Bisons was founded in 1979, when Buffalo ownership interests purchased the Jersey City A's of the Double-A Eastern League and moved the team to the city.

The Syracuse Chiefs are a minor league baseball team based in Syracuse, New York. The Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, the team plays in the International League (IL). NBT Bank Stadium, on Syracuse's northside, is the Chiefs' home stadium.
