Players from the sector debate in a webinar about the new trend in the real estate industry
What will cities be like in 20 years? Will we organize ourselves in isolated individual houses or will we organize ourselves in private and shared spaces within the same building? What is build to rent and what benefits will it bring to citizens? These questions are those raised by some of the companies that already star or will dominate the real estate sector in a few years.
The webinar was organized and moderated by Jordi Altimira, partner and CEO Upbizor & Lánzame Capital, and had the participation of: Daniel Batlle, co-Founder and CMO at Alfred Smart Systems; Jaime de la Torre, VP of Homes at Badi; Quino Fernández, co-founder and CEO at Attico Lab; and Claudia Giraldo, founder of Bambu PR. All of them answered these questions that revolve around the main trend in the real estate sector: Build to rent.
For Claudia Giraldo, buil to rent is "a trend that has been consolidated with the coronavius pandemic and that arises in response to the current and future needs demanded by society." For her, "because the new generations prefer to rent a home over the purchase, especially the younger ones who cannot afford an investment." He considered that the Spanish market is "very fragmented" and that there is an imbalance between supply and demand, something that can solve the build to rent .
