On my last day in Bhutan, I got an opportunity to see and appreciate some of the most interesting and old dance practices of the country. It was enjoyable as well insightful to learn about their origins too. Sharing a little about each of them in the post below.
For me, SOUTH AFRICA emerged as the most adventurous and thrilling trip of the year but at the same time, I would love to call BHUTAN as the sweetest surprise of 2016. The whimsical world of this Himalayan Kingdom is different from the rest of the world.
I happily indulged in the beauty of Bhutan for 10 days. It was a surreal experience. A road trip in the magical land of the ‘Thunder Dragon’ makes a great travel idea.
I always say this that I enjoy small trails, village walks and several kilometers of walking in one go but trekking isn’t my cup of tea. I am more of a city person who has an eye for luxury and lifestyle.
"The earth laughs in flowers." ― Ralph Waldo Emerson I visited BHUTAN in the second week of August and I must tell you that it was a great time to be there.
The Punakha Dzong is definitely one of the most beautiful buildings of Bhutan known to me. It is located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu (father) and Mo Chhu (mother) rivers in the Punakha–Wangdue valley.
